The Gift

It was Christmas day when God offered his son his most precious car. It was broken as it was his most prized car, so it was used extensively. He said, “Son, this is a very good car, and it has served me well. Will you take care and love it as much as I had?” 

His son took one look at the car and complained, “Dad, it is broken. But I think I can sell it off and use the money to get a new car.”

God didn’t say anything.

His son sold off God’s most treasured car and took the money to buy a new car. 

A few years went by, and one day, God’s son stumbled upon an auction where God’s car was on display as the most sought-after car.

With much regret, God’s son sheepishly went back to his father and asked, “Dad, do you have another one of those?”

God smiled and showed him a broken motorcycle.
